Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vardeus LLC ("Vardeus", "we", "us", "our") processes personal data when you visit vardeus.com (the "Website") or contact us by email. We keep this short because we collect very little.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
Vardeus LLC
A limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA
Email: marko.vardeus@gmail.com
For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at the email above.
2. What data we process, why, and on what legal basis
The Website has no user accounts, no registration, no forms, and no cookies. Personal data is processed only in the situations below.
2.1 When you contact us by email
If you email us, we process your email address, name (if provided), and the content of your message, including any attachments.
- Purpose: to read and respond to your inquiry, and, if you ask us to, to prepare an offer or start working together.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and, where your inquiry relates to a potential contract, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Required? No. Contacting us is voluntary, but without your email address we cannot reply.
2.2 Website analytics (no cookies)
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the Website is used, for example which pages are visited. It is designed not to use cookies or local storage and not to fingerprint visitors. It processes aggregated, non-identifying information such as the page URL, referrer, browser and operating system type, page-load performance, and approximate country (derived from your IP address, which is not stored for analytics).
- Purpose: to measure traffic and improve the Website.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our Website in a privacy-friendly way (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
2.3 When you visit the Website (hosting and security)
The Website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the Website against abuse (for example, DDoS attacks), Cloudflare automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser information, and request metadata. We do not use this data to identify you.
- Purpose: delivering the Website securely and reliably.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
2.4 Theme preference
The Website offers a light and dark theme. If you use the theme toggle, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device (under the key "theme") so that the Website remembers it. This value is not sent to us or to any third party, is not used to identify you, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
2.5 What we do NOT do
- We do not use cookies, advertising, or cross-site tracking.
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not use your data for marketing.
- We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
3. Who receives your data (Recipients)
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Website and our email, acting on our behalf:
| Provider | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Website hosting, content delivery, security, web analytics | USA / global network |
| Google LLC | Email hosting | USA / global network |
We may also disclose data where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
4. International data transfers
Vardeus LLC is a US company, and our service providers may process data in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA and Serbia. Where personal data is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the provider's certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
5. How long we keep your data
- Emails: up to 24 months after our last communication, unless a longer period is required to perform a contract, comply with legal (e.g. tax or accounting) obligations, or defend legal claims.
- Analytics: kept by Cloudflare only in aggregated form, without identifying individual visitors.
- Technical data (hosting and security): processed by Cloudflare for a limited period in accordance with its own retention practices.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectification of inaccurate data;
- erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- data portability, where applicable.
To exercise any of these rights, email marko.vardeus@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on your request.
Right to lodge a complaint: you can file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work. For residents of Serbia, this is the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (Poverenik za informacije od javnog značaja i zaštitu podataka o ličnosti, www.poverenik.rs). For EU/EEA residents, you can contact your local data protection authority.
7. Children
The Website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
